While working on a home construction project recently, it struck Dean Heffta that he was measuring pieces he needed rather than how much to trim off. This insight came in juxtaposition with the realization that in life we seem to focus regularly on what we don't want: lazy workers, extra body weight, bad yields, drama, etc..
Dean knew he had to cover this topic in a podcast episode, and this week, here it is. For success in work and life, measure what you want more of. Positive measures can go a long way to help grow what we focus on, but we have to maintain perspective or risk dropping the ball elsewhere.
